The Bar Molitor, a new face for a legendary Paris location

Once known for its avant-garde ambience and Art Deco design, the Molitor was once the most popular bathing complex in Paris. Recently redeveloped in keeping with its fondly remembered style, the Molitor now has a bar on the rooftop terrace that has become the life and soul of this historical monument. Come and sip a signature cocktail and enjoy the panoramic view of the monuments of Paris.

More than 80 years of artistic tradition

A hub of many artistic movements, the Piscine Molitor opened in 1929 in the heart of the 16th arrondissement. Enjoying a unique setting and boasting fabulous architecture, the Molitor was always more than just a leisure centre. The place proved an inspiration for artists right from the very beginning and, following its official closure in 1989, the building effectively became a blank canvas for artistic expression. Today the Molitor remains the place to be for artists of the Parisian underground, and now offers a rooftop bar to the delight of visitors. In a chic and cosy setting overlooking the pool you can relish the unique atmosphere while enjoying a strawberry mojito called the Grand Bassin, or maybe a V5 cocktail. Centrally located between the two swimming pools, you’ll be at the centre of all the action and fun.

A great starting point for tours

Enjoy the unique views of the centre of Paris from the Molitor Bar. As a place for getting away from it all and enjoying a coolly sophisticated few moments of peace and reflection, it can’t be beaten. Similarly unbeatable is the Hotel de la Paix. Here you will be welcomed in a pleasant setting at the Porte de Versailles, close to the famous swimming pool situated in the neighbouring district. While enjoying the shopping and cultural options on offer, don’t forget to check out the Molitor, which has proven to be hugely popular with Parisians and visitors alike.
