Seasonal fun on the skating rinks of Paris

Seasonal fun on the skating rinks of Paris

For a traditional Christmas, you need fir trees, illuminations, Christmas markets and a nip in the air! Paris can offer you all this as we come to the end of the year, and even more. Various open-air and indoor skating rinks, for example, where you can glide along to the sound of Christmas songs. The Hotel de la Paix team has three rinks to recommend to you.

Unmissable fun

You can’t visit Paris without taking a walk on the Champs-Elysees. The famous avenue again offers an unparalleled festive atmosphere this year. The small wooden chalets of its Christmas market, its illuminations and its skating rink await. Until January 8th, children and adults alike can have fun on an icy area of more than 4000 m². Then, if you’re feeling particularly daring, you can try a descent of the giant tubular toboggan run built especially for the occasion. After which you’ll be glad to steady your nerves with a hot chocolate or mulled wine in the Christmas village.

Skating by the Eiffel Tower

This year the Trocadero will once again host its own Christmas village. Here you can find a magnificent outdoor skating rink, a giant igloo and an esplanade dedicated to all those who want to learn about skating, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. You can also dine in a restaurant facing the Eiffel Tower, more beautiful than ever.

An ice rink in an enchanting space

And if all that icy action is still not enough for you, you need to succumb to the seductive charms of the Grand Palais skating rink. From December 14th to January 2nd, the largest ice rink in France welcomes you for a wonderful time beneath the magnificent glass and iron roof of the Grand Palais. With family or friends you can strap on the blades and have hours of fun. Naturally, there will be hot drinks available to help keep you going strong.
